Question:There are many people in Helmand who believe that Britain is inchoate with the Taliban, we had the Governor of Musa-Qala in the studio a couple days ago who fictively level the same charges and suggested that Britain does not want to bring stability to Helmand if it did it could have done that long time ago, this is your chance to response to these charges:

Cowper: Well I would say over hundred and forty British soldiers have died many times that numbers have been wounded in Helmand we spending billions of pounds of British tax pays us money to try and stabilize and develop the provinces I can not see in a rational Sean would what conceivable interest Britain would have in supporting insurgency by the Taliban I mean its just pure fantasy the most lodicules conspiracy ferry that is hardly would replaying to why we should want our soldier to be killed by the Taliban . Just a begs Believe and I am sure that thing we could batter I am sure we need to be working batter with local afghan authority’s I am sure together we will find even more effective ways addressing the challenges in Helmand , but to think I mean if you just think about it for a moment I right to the wife’s to the mothers every British soldier killed in Helmand why should we want these people killed in mind there why would we support the Taliban on attacking our won forces , just doesn’t makes sense I hope if your listeners if they think about it for a moment will realize that we are with them in Helping them secure and stabilize the province for them self’s we as I have said repeatedly ever since I been here we are open the idea of Taliban reconciling to government of Afghanistan through the alternative Programs
Provided they can accept the constitution and provided Of course they don’t have the continuing link with Al-Qaeda.

Question:So Britain has no hidden agenda for Helmand or Afghanistan?
Cowper: People who think we have a hidden agenda of hidden anything else are living in nineteen century they need to fast forward about hundred and fifty years this is not great game this is the twenty century Britain is in Afghanistan as part of forty nation coalition sometimes reading the Afghan Press sometimes reading the British Press you thing Britain was here alone in fact we are very small part 12 percent I think of a massive international military effort.
Yes, But in Helmadn you’re the largest form presence.
Question:What is your agenda, goal for Afghanistan not the hundred and twenty years ago but today?
Cowper: Our agenda is your agenda we want what you want for your self’s through your government through your governors, through the shoras of local elders through the Qaum through the tribes and every thing we hear suggest that ordinary afghans want what ordinary people want around the world which is a better future for their children’s they want safety, security they want their children to be able to go to school they want to be able to go to market the want to be able …
And our job is not to secure this country on your behalf its to help you do it which is why so much of our military efforts in Helmand is putting to training the army, training the police staff on there Ruther then getting out in front having to do the fighting our self’s.

Question:Present Karzai Said a number of accusations that the security situation in Helmand is gotten worse since British forces arrived in the provinces suggesting some kind of a link, he has also said that the only areas outside the control of the government forces are insecure and grow puppies , you response?
Cowper: Well I understand the president Concerns and I sympathies with him and he’s made them same point to me in privet as he made in public, I would say samply that as I say time and time again we are in Helmand at your invitation at your suggestion to support the Afghan governor of Helmand Gulabulad-e-Mangal to support the Shoras of elders and it may be true that efforts by the Afghan army and police supported by us to deal with drug ranks to deal with terrorism do provoke a temporary spike and violence but if you look at what happened in Garmser in the south there was a Spike violence when earlier last year that British and Americans moved to clear out a great arrear of the Helmand Vale but now violence dropped to the actually zero.

When you going to an area to secure it there is an increasing violence and on the question of the suggestion from some the drugs trade case earlier with international forces are there international community is the reality of course is the international forces and international community are in the provinces where does instability and puppy thrives and instability the lack of law on other is a criminal activity growing puppy is also Haram it’s a its Criminal activity treading opium it also happens to be Haram and reason why we are predominately in the provinces where we see this criminal activities is because the Taliban are there too and the Taliban feeding of the puppy trade although they claim to be Muslims they would no if they read the holy Quran and Sunat and Hadis that profiting from the trade of Opium is Haram they still doing it and they taxing the reached formers the Helmand really quite heavily.

What life is like for an Afghan woman?

Women’s: the Taliban regime is past and women’s are going back to school, learning in universities and working in national and international offices.

But still the women’s education is limited to the biggest cities of the country such as Kabul, still it’s a question that how these girls study in school, learn in university and work in offices.

Impracticable Laws: the current lows only can applicable when the government is strong, but here satiation is not like that.

Many power centers are in the country, for this the applicably of lows are facing with challenges, most of the astrologers that issues are not only against the Afghanistan constitution, that most of them are against the Islamic lows. It’s clear that these astrologers are completely against human rights.

Women’s prisons: currently in Northern Province of Kunduz ten women’s with eight children’s in age of 6 to 10 are prisoners. Two Small and dark rooms with a lavatory is called prison.

Pul-e-Charkhi prison is the Most Famous prison in Afghanistan located in Kabul province the Capital of Afghanistan: prisoner women’s don’t have good satiation in Kabul prison too.

The reporters do not have the permission to visit the Pulcharkhi women’s Prisoners section.

Head of the women’s trainings center in Kabul prison saying that in Pul-e-Charkhi prison 80 women’s with 60 children’s are prisoner. Most of them are jailed for escaped from the husband house or did a crime in the society. 6 women’s with their children’s are in one exile.The daily and usual foods of the Afghanistan prisons are bean and rice eating lunch and diner.

However story of Afghan women’s life needs hundred pages to write about it, but it’s a short landscape of what life is like in Afghanistan for an Afghan woman.

What life is like in Afghanistan?

Seven years past since that Taliban removed from the power in Afghanistan but still the future is not clear.

With spending of billions dollars of financial supports still Afghans suffering from extreme poverty and insecurity including the terrorist attacks.

Kabul is looking like the capital of an occupy country. The diplomats and international NGOs officials for the risk of kidnapping do not allow walking lonely.

Most of the main roads of Kabul are looking like bulwarks, to talk clearly after increased the number of suicide attacks, Kabul is changed to the frontline.

Of course The Afghanistan difficulties are particular, especially from the security point of view and increasing the number of insurgents’ activities comparing with Iraq.

Seven years ago the international forces collapsed the Taliban regime but they couldn’t still remove them from Afghanistan.

The Afghanistan development process start the Sam time with collapsing the Taliban: democratic election, women’s freedom and their presence in social life, development in health and education systems and …issues start but to be honest currently we are not on the steps that we could.

Whereas north and west of Afghanistan are in a peaceful satiation, south and east of the country are suffering from the insecurity and narcotic.

Afghans hugely beat for reconstruction of their country and the NATO and international forces are stricken wondering how long this mission takes and how many men and women more will die for it.

A few advices to international community:

a) The difficulties of Afghanistan are not completely linked with Taliban, Afghans need a trustful and honest government, and the international community must support Afghans for achieving their ideal government.

b) NATO needs more closely working, currently Different countries of NATO are doing individual operation in Afghanistan it must be under one leadership. Currently their suggestions and requests are Different and I think it’s the weak point of NATO Forces in Afghanistan. NATO must Collect their suggestions are requests under one flag.

c) Afghanistan can not be solving by only militarism, we must continue our militarism but we have to more support afghan police, national army. The united nation must increase the pressures on Afghan government to stop the corruption and remove the corrupt officials. And we must start talk with Afghanistan neighbor countries such Iran, Pakistan, India, Russia and china.

We must know that the challenges in Afghanistan are very huge but we also must not forget that beat in Afghanistan has a big expenditure.

Karzai Warns Obama

Yesterday 25 Jan 2009 afghan President Hamid Karzai in a warning Speech to Westerns countries said:” if westerns do not give us Airplanes and military equipment, we will ask from the other Countries giving us”.

Karzais warning to the Westerns countries is the same time with his letter to the Russia president for supporting Afghanistan in military and political areas.Karzai attention to the regional Countries is increased when Brack Obama Become the President of United State.

It seems that United state and Hamid Karzai both is seeking new options. In a situation that Karzai is more likely for Afghan Russia Relations , Meantime four afghan politicians are in US and waiting for a special meeting with Brack Obama in white house.

Karzai with his political Warning Speech wants to warn to the united state President Brack Obama that he is still powerful figure in Afghanistan and any step for his weakness is not for the benefit of the west.

At least in the past seven years the Afghan people get with Hamid Karzai emotional and reactionary decides.

Currently most of the Afghanistan problems are for rivalry of British and US forces in Afghanistan however they are both historical alliance.

3) Sign of any treaty to gives the Russia permission for political and army area of Afghanistan is a mistake as much as we did singed a security strategic treaty with Bush.

What’s afghan needs ?
The first duty of the international community in Afghanistan is to stabilize the country, and destroy the source of Taliban in Afghanistan.

I would like to ask from the Britain government officials that do you think when people do not have enough food, medicine, water, shoes and cloths for their childrens, they listen to your Twenty million dollar radio station.

Currently four radio stations including three independent and one State Stations are On-air in Helmand. But look to the evaluations that how money peoples are interest for hearing?

I think it’s one of the hundreds examples that shows us why we are losing Afghanistan.

The needy of Afghans are not the same with westerns citizens, Afghans still think how bring a Piece of bread and glass of tea at the end of the day for their children and family.

I as an afghan citizen request you kindly and very friendly to please review your strategies about Afghanistan, because with this point of view you’re losing Afghanistan.

Corruption in India embassy in Afghanistan

The India Black Market or racketeer visa in Afghanistan increased to 15000 Afghani or 300 US dollar. (an Afghan governmental employee salary is 2500 Afghani a month which is 50 US dollar).

Since the suicide attack on India embassy in Kabul Happened and Increased the security tactics around its building.

It seems that the corruption inside the Indian embassy is increased too.

The formal way for an India visa from Indian embassy in Kabul needs one or more then a week. But it’s very easy to achieve the India visa from the India embassy in Kabul in a racketeer way in two or at least one day.

Obama Invite an Afghan famous warlord in his inauguration ceremony

Obama invitation from a famous afghan warlord Gul Agha Sherzai in his inauguration ceremony created many questions with Afghan citizens.

Obama did not invite Afghan president Hamid Karzai to participate in his inauguration ceremony it shows that Obama can not work with Hamid Karzai as the leader of a US alliance government in Afghanistan.

Obama select four Afghan politicians to participate in his ceremony which Gula Agha Sherzai, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai and Dr. Ali Ahmad Jalali are the invited persons.

The Afghan citizens are believed that the next president of Afghanistan is among the invited persons by Barack Obama.

However the Afghan president is electing directly by people voting but the huge believe in Afghanistan is that every person that have the support of united state is the winner of election.

Canadians deal with Taliban in Kandahar

The Taliban leadership inside Kandahar Province sends an invitation for some of the journalists to visit their Governmental sources in Kandahar.

The recent news for the establishing of new government of Taliban in Kandahar Province may relate with the recent Canadian activates in Kandahar. Canadian wants to provide the first stapes for Starting the Negotiations and deal with Taliban in Kandahar Province.

Suicide attack on Germany embassy in Kabul

A suicide car bomber in front of Germany embassy in Kabul has killed at least three people.The governmental sources announced that 2 killed and 20 more people were wounded in the blast but eyewitness saying that the numbers of killed and injured are more then that.I was in Great Masoud road nearby to the US embassy when the attack happened; I heard the noise of explosion over there.

It’s the second attack on the German diplomatic targets in the last months in Kabul; on November 30 2008 the Germany diplomat’s car targeted by suicide attacker nearby Afghan Permanent killed four.

With this attack Taliban wanted to target with one shot to Objects, the US Base and the German embassy.

the US officials in Kabul announced that five of their soldiers have been injured in Attack but no one die, the sources saying that inside the German embassy the Germans are wounded but still the number is not clear.

Baktash : Both Afghan and International officials have claimed that the Taliban are becoming increasingly sophisticated in the kind of weaponry systems they are using in fighting NATO forces, such as improvised explosive devices are only manufactured in Iran.
These weapons have been found in western Afghanistan and are perceived to have trafficked from Iran.
Has the Taliban been using improvised explosive devices? If so, are they supplied by Iran?

Qari Yousuf : The fact is that the Iranian weapons in Taliban Hand is Propaganda, no Iranian weapons is in Taliban’s hands, if the coalition forces announcing that they have proofs, maybe they got it From Brhanulden Rabani or Abdul Rasoul Sayaf because they ware close alliance of the Iranians in the past.
Repeatedly Taliban has no Iranian and sophisticated in the kind of weaponry systems; our Weapons are including RPG Rockets and Russia Kalashnikov.

Baktash: What kind of relations does the Taliban’s have with Iran?

Qari Yousuf: We don’t have any kind of relation with Iran, Taliban are interest for good relation with neighbor countrys and if those countrys which is not in the line of occupiers forces we want good relation with them and we have good relation with them, they are not our enemies and our target is war against our enemy nothing else.

Baktash: Taliban and Iran are in the Same Case because Iranian Government is also an anti American Government and Taliban forces are saying that we are anti American forces?

Qari Yousuf: The only subscription of Taliban and Iranian regime is that the both Taliban and Iranians regime are anti American, but it’s not the only subscription between Iran and Taliban there are money others with Subscription. But deploy of Iranians in Taliban and supplying from Iran still dose not happened in the past but Iranians are defined from their counterys and we are defending from our country.

Baktash: Despite the presence of 70,000 International Troops in Afghanistan, the Taliban is continuing to show growth in the number of insurgents, as well as complexity and sophistication in their (attack?) methods. What factors have contributed to this growth, complexity and sophistication in operations?

Qari Yousuf: Prosperities of Taliban has many reasons,
First Taliban are fighting in the way of God (Allah) against occupiers which are leading by united state, and we believe that any Afghans are involved in our Jihad, if the are not in our fronts, their specters are involved in our Jihad. Second Taliban did hard fights and recently we achieved much prosperity , and our achievements against US forces and others ( NATO and coalition forces) which is supporting Afghan Government is because of their actions against our people , their military operations and killing the cavlince and other anti Afghani Actions of them are persuasive our Mujahd people to Jihad. The third reason of Taliban success is that Karzai Government gives many promises for United States. We well do this and we well do that but in fact they couldn’t do anything, and this situation made disappoint them. (United state in Afghanistan) The final reason is Afghanistan national Army they made an Army which is hireling and even united state is disappointed from their actions and proof is that they want to increase their forces in Afghanistan. But the fact is that the hireling forces con not resisting against faith, pietism and Jihad.

Baktash: Reportedly the Taliban insurgents frequently infiltrate into Kandahar province from the Taliban safe heavens in Pakistan. The government officials and tribal elders of Kandahar believe that the ten-member Taliban council is based in Quetta and from there its members lead the insurgency in Kandahar province. The tribal elders also said that some of its members, such as Mullah Brader, are sometimes in Kandahar and sometimes in Quetta. re tribal communities along the Pakistani tribal border belt, particularly in Waziristan, providing Taliban member’s safe havens?

Qari Yousuf: That is completely untruth, Mullah Brother and other Taliban commanders are inside of Afghanistan and they are fighting in Taliban fronts. That is fact more then tow millions afghans are presence in Pakistan and the are coming and going but those people which is coming and going are ordinary peoples. Our commanders Mujahiden are completely inside of Afghanistan and busy in fronts lines, if they are in Kandahar , helmand Noristan, Mazar-e-Sharif or if in kunduz province attacking they are our Mujahiden, remember kunduz is not bordering with Pakistan, or in Hirat, Faryab and any others provinces.

Baktash: The locals of several districts of the Province of Kandahar have claimed to have seen Arabs, Uzbeks, Chechens and Pakistanis fighting along side the Taliban against the Afghan government and coalition forces.
Any comments?

Qari Yousuf: Maybe one or tow persons are in our fronts that is a liability to allow them in jihad fronts, I can say that their percentage of the foreigner fighters is tow or three percent, and its our liability to invite them in Afghanistan for jihad, but there is no commanders and independent fronts of Arabs, Uzbeks, Chechens and Pakistanis fighters in Afghanistan.

Baktash: What is the Taliban’s ultimate political objective in Afghanistan?

Qari Yousuf: The Taliban’s ultimate political objectives are in military and holy Quran, Taliban objective is an Islamic, Holy Quran and divine regime in Afghanistan. We don’t have any strategy and objective without this. Islam is our policy and we do not have any other duty.

Baktash: The Afghan Government and NATO believes that dialogue with moderate elements of the Taliban insurgency, rather then strict use of military power, will prove effective in reducing casualties and maintaining long-term stability in the country. President Hamid Karzai says that contact with moderate Taliban leaders have increased over the past years. Deemed as a preventative measure that will decrease bloodshed and promote national reconciliation his government has been forthcoming in their determination to accommodate talks with moderate Taliban elements. Given the option, would the some Taliban members agree to a ceasefire to accommodate a power-sharing arrangement with the Afghan Government?

Qari Yousuf: Dividing of Taliban in tow part is unreasonable, Taliban are the same and they have one ideology if they are anywhere. The Afghan government calls good Taliban for those people that are in Kabul bazaars and other places that do not fighting and they call them good Taliban, and I think there is no need to negotiate with them. Karzai call good Taliban for those that do not fighting, no need is for those people that are not fighting (jihad). But those people that Karzai call them bad Taliban are those people that are involved in Jihad and Karzai government and international forces said that we do not negotiate with Bad Taliban.

Baktash: Are the Taliban leader’s council decided to End the War and Start Negotiation?

Qari Yousuf: Still I don’t have any information, currently our leaders council and military commanders are infancies in jihad they want complete success of Jihad in Afghanistan.

Baktash: It means right now Negotiation isn’t in Taliban strategy to End the War?

Qari Yousuf: We believe that currently negotiate with karzi is unvalued.

Baktash: If the Negotiators be international community no Karzia Are the Taliban are ready to start Negotiation?

Qari Yousuf: It depends on that time and that expedient.

Baktash: Does the Taliban coordinate its insurgency efforts with Osama bin Laden’s Al Qaeda?

Qari Yousuf: There is no Alqaeda with Taliban and those fighting against Afghan Government and foreigner troops are Afghans and our leaders and commandeers are currently inside of Afghanistan and Taliban dos not have any link with any person.

But after 9/11 and collapsing of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan the India and Afghanistan countries relationship become better and Indian come on the top list of the countries that announced the readiness for reconstruction and supporting of afghan government.

After 9/11 what is the interest of India in Afghanistan?
Both countries are neighboring with Pakistan. (Country which has problem with India in relation).

But President Karzai visit to India exactly three days after President Zardari visit to Kabul what does mean for Afghan Foreign Policy?

Afghan government announcing that Afghanistan have strategic relation with India but in the Same time Afghanistan has Friendly relation with Pakistan, the Government officials specially president Karzai Many times cleared that friendship with one of these two countries doesn’t mean to become enemy of the other side.

But Pakistan always announcing concerns about the India huge role in Afghanistan.

Many experts believe that Pakistan concerns from the Afghan-India close Friendship has links with the Kashmir Issue, Pakistan doesn’t want in a situation which this country problems with India is day by day increasing, see Afghanistan as a India alliance on the backside.

I believe that The President Karzai Visit to India is to show a balance in Afghanistan foreign Policy with India and Pakistan countries which recently was little more likely to Pakistan.

Recently the relation between the Afghanistan and Pakistan is become little different which the President Karzai calling it more friendly but, the relation with Pakistan become friendly under the pressure of international community. However the India and Afghan friendship has link with the history of both countries.

After Mumbai attacks it seems that the relation between the India and Pakistan is become more Problematic.

In such a situation the Afghan government is trying to keep up the close neighborhood and Friendship with two sides, but it seems very difficult to keep the balance between the two enemies. Because earlier or late the balance destroys and I think we lose both sides.

One of the important figure and a biggest challenge for president Karzai in next presidential election is Dr. Anwar ul-Haq Ahdi Afghanistan Finance Minster, a few weeks ago he resigned from the post of Afghanistan finance minister but Karzai didn’t allowed him to leave the Finance ministry.

Ahadi is the leader of Afghan millet (Afghan national) political party which is mostly supports by the Pashtoons in Afghanistan,

If Ahadi Decide to be a candidate for the next presidential election then it will be a big challenge to Karzai because Hamid Karzai in the Next election loosed the support of the International community and especially the united state but still he hope to win the election by the vote of Pashtoons in Afghanistan, if Ahadi Announce him self as the candied then he catch the votes which Karzai hope to win them.

Because Ahdi is more acceptable for Pashtoons then Karzai Because his policy is very clear about Pahtoons in Afghanistan which Karzai didn’t had it in the past however he now returned to that line, but its too late.

Mohammad Yunus Qanuni Speaker of the House of the Representatives:
However Qanuni still did not say anything about his Participation to the next presidential election, but the Past experience in Afghanistan political history shows that Qanuni want to be an Important Person in the Afghan Government.

However he loosed all of his chances during the seven past years, first he participate as the important figure from the northern alliance in Boon Conference 2001 second he Become the minister of interior then the ministry of Education and in the end of his seven past year life he select by the member of Afghan Parliament as the Speaker.

He achieved to all of the above Posts with the Agreements and coalitions but he never stayed for his promises with his alliance now it seems that Qanuni has loosed all of his chances and if he participate in the next year presentational election then he will beat very hard then the past presidential election that he won the second number vote in Afghanistan.

Dr Zalmai KhalilZad the Former US representative in the United Nation:
Zalmai KhalilZad a US Afghan , recently announced that he wants to Support Afghanistan people in anyway that he can, the media and close persons to Mr. Khalilzad dream his speech that he wants to be A candidate for the next presidential election in Afghanistan, but the Challenges with Khalilzad is to much for this case, first his big Supporter, President bush is not more in the white house , second the Afghanistan Constitution did not allow him to be a president and third its very late for this decision.

And one More Important Person:
The Afghanistan biggest Opposition alliance which is leading by Professor Borhan-u-llden Rabani the Former president of Afghanistan has the most important role in the next presidential election.

This alliance is a collective of the famous figures from the past regimes including the King Zahir Grand Son Mustafa Zahir, the high ranking officials of the Communists regimes in Afghanistan and most of the former Mujahidine leaders.

The alliance announced that they will announce their Candidates for the next presidential election when the election commission announce the exact time for the election.

As of the news a few person are include between the alliances that mostly linked to president as the candid of alliance in the presidential election. Which Mustafa Zahir, Peer Saaid Ahmad Gelani and some persons out of the Alliance are included.

Afghan Government especially president Karzai is trying his best to show the high level of friendship with Pakistan.

But what the people of Afghanistan think?

The Different of views between the people and government of Afghanistan is not only limit to welcoming for President Zardai.

Taliban interesting Information

The Taliban militants claimed that during year 2008 killed more then 5 thousand and 220 US and NATO Soldiers in Afghanistan.

In a press release the Taliban announced that:” most of our attacks on the foreigner troops in Afghanistan are Hided by the Afghan Government and international Forces”.

But the spokesmen for the US forces in Afghanistan “Jerry Oknal” said that the Taliban released figures is Propaganda and it’s not acceptable.

International News agencies announced that 286 foreigner troops have been killed in Afghanistan last year.

Shelters in Afghanistan

You can not find any of the Afghan related ministers to talk about Women Shelters in Afghanistan.

They are not ready to answer from were these shelters receive financial support and how money shelters are in Afghanistan, and what is the long term strategy for these shelters?

The ministry of Women’s affairs just saying that they are responsible for these shelters but they do not release any details about the questions.

The Spokesmen of Afghanistan ministry of women’s affairs saying:” I do not have the permission to speak one word about the Shelters”.

Mari Akrami, who directs the Afghan Women's Skills Development Center is the only women that gives some details about the Shelters but she just speak about some general questions :”No one understand that where these houses are located because its shelter, if we allow everyone to visit these shelters then what does it mean”

However she is not ready to gives more details but just adding a few things more:” we do not directly accept women to the shelters but Ministry of women Affairs and interior minister’s carrying women’s to the shelters”.

Fauzia Kufi one of the critical member of Afghan Parliament which is fallowing the women’s issues in the country she is not sure about the what the government is saying about these shelters:” we have reports that women are in the shelters which are not eligible for these shelters and also for the weakness of Government and its control on the Shelters, some of them (shelter owner) are doing their favorite things on the women’s which are living in the shelters”.
Recently one of the Jahadi Leaders Sheikh Asaf Muhsini a Shia famous religious in Afghanistan asked more control of the Afghan Supreme Court on the Shelters:” the Supreme Court must Control the Shelters to avoid from the ethical corruption.”
